About SolaTrue
How We Started
SolaTrue is the national brand of Southern Solar. The founders of Southern Solar, Blake Bastian and Ledio Shehi, started working in the residential solar industry around 2015. As years passed it became clear that there was an opportunity in the industry to grow a business built on delivering great customer service by being honest and delivering what was promised. In January 2019, Blake and Ledio, decided to go out on their own and they started Southern Solar in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. Their objectives were simple: to educate customers on the benefits of solar and to deliver a great customer experience from start to finish.
Over the past four years, that is exactly what they’ve done. Since Blake and Ledio started Southern Solar in January 2019, they have installed systems for over 9000 customers and have built a reputation of excellence as seen in their 5 Star Google Rating with over 500 reviews.
Our Expansion
In 2022, looking to expand, Blake and Ledio met Glenn Lynch and Shane Lynch from Storm Guard Roofing and Construction, a roofing franchise system based out of Fort Worth, TX. After several meetings, the four of them realized the opportunity to take Southern Solar to the next level through franchising and in the summer of 2022, SolaTrue was created.
